Stalling is not simply ignoring the person.
It is controlling the pace.
You may need excuses.
You may need delays.
You may need to stretch conversations.
You may need to stop answering every demand immediately.
The purpose is to create breathing room.
That breathing room gives you a chance to think instead of react.

Do Not Assume Paying Solves the Problem
Paying feels like the fastest exit.
