What makes a good AI blackmail consultant is someone who understands not just blackmail, and not even AI.
It is someone who understands human nature.
Regardless of the technology behind AI blackmail or the leverage used to threaten a victim, there is always a human driving it.
My success in preventing exposure comes from facing blackmailers head-on and understanding how they think. I look for their trigger points, when they become aggressive, and the tells that reveal when the aggression is fake. I know when they threaten to disappear and expose the victim, and when that sudden silence means they are waiting for a response.
Sometimes the best strategy is silence.
Not panic.
Silence forces them back to the table.
It goes back to what Sun Tzu wrote, and the one line everyone remembers:
Once you understand the person behind the threat, you begin to understand money-motivated crime itself. AI may help create fake evidence or identify a victim, but the crime is still driven by human behavior.
The other side of my job is understanding the victim.
When someone contacts me, they often believe they are about to lose everything. Sometimes that fear is justified. My job is not only to defend my client from the blackmailer, but also to pull them out of that hole before panic takes over.

Human panic is a terrible thing.
It can drive good people into very dark places.
That is why the best AI blackmail consultant is not simply someone who understands artificial intelligence.
It is someone who understands people.
