I need blackmail help. A blackmailer is counting down to expose me if I do not pay him now.
Is the countdown real?
Will he contact my family and friends?
I am Frank M. Ahearn, a privacy expert and The Blackmail Fixer. These are questions my clients ask when a blackmailer starts a countdown.
The countdown creates panic.
That is the point.
When someone has your photos and threatens exposure, watching the clock run down is frightening. Fear makes victims pay quickly.
Stall the Countdown
I often see countdown threats in Côte d’Ivoire/Ivory Coast blackmail cases.
If you are dealing with this, stall.
Tell the blackmailer you do not have access to the money right now.
Maybe you need to borrow it.
Maybe you can get it Tuesday.
Maybe you need a few days.

You are not refusing.
You are giving them a problem that requires waiting.
The blackmailer will usually push back.
They will say:
Pay now.
You do not have time.
The countdown is almost over.
Stay cool.
This is about getting paid.
Do Not Let Panic Make the Decision
Blackmail becomes worse when fear takes over.
Victims panic.
They pay.
Then the blackmailer knows the threat worked.
Another demand can follow.
That is how blackmail becomes a loop.
The way out is to break the payment pattern.
Stall.
Create time.
Keep the conversation going about the future payment.
Promise to Pay – Break the Promise – Promise Again
I have used the stall tactic in a tremendous number of cases.
It may sound simple, but creating time changes the pressure.
Do Not Fear the Countdown
Do not let the countdown control you.
Do not let the threat force you into an immediate payment.
Slow the situation down.
If you need blackmail help, I take over the communication, stall the demands, and work to prevent exposure.
