You are frightened.

Will Blocking the Blackmailer End the Threat?
Blocking an Instagram account stops that account from messaging you.
It does not remove the person behind it.
The blackmailer may create another account.
They may contact you through WhatsApp, Facebook, email, or text message.
They may also threaten one of your followers to force you to respond.

The blackmailer watches how you react.
If mentioning your wife causes panic, they will keep mentioning your wife.
If threatening your employer gets an immediate response, your employer becomes part of every new demand.

What Can I Say to Slow the Blackmailer Down?
Do not promise immediate payment.
Do not reveal how much money you have.
Do not explain your entire personal situation.
If the blackmailer is demanding money now, you can slow the conversation down by saying:
“I have no money. I must borrow from a friend. It will take a week.”
This creates time.
Time allows you to think before panic makes the decisions.
It also changes the expectation that you will instantly obey every demand.
What If the Blackmailer Has My Instagram Followers?
A screenshot of your followers is designed to frighten you.
It shows that the blackmailer has looked beyond the private conversation and into your real life.
They may have found:
- Your spouse or partner
- Family members
- Close friends
- Coworkers
- Your employer
- Clients or business contacts
That does not automatically mean they have contacted everyone.
It means the threat must be taken seriously and handled carefully.
