I Will Not Become a Romance Scam or Dating Scam Victim

I will not become a romance scam or dating scam victim.

That is a promise every woman should make before trusting someone she meets online.

You can be intelligent.

Successful.

Educated.

Experienced.

None of that makes you immune to emotional manipulation.

Romance scammers do not search for foolish women.

They search for women they can reach emotionally.

They may target a divorced woman who wants companionship.

A widow rebuilding her life.

A married woman looking for attention she is not receiving at home.

A professional woman whose career, income and lifestyle are visible online.

The scammer studies what is missing and creates the man who appears to fill that space.

If you are already worried about an online relationship, have sent money or are being threatened, Frank M. Ahearn provides direct help for women.

I Will Trust Actions, Not Words

A romance scammer can send beautiful messages.

He can remember your birthday.

He can ask about your day.

He can say he has never felt this way before.

Words are easy.

What matters is whether the person exists outside the conversation.

Has he spoken with you during a live video call?

Not a recorded video.

Not a silent appearance where the connection suddenly fails.

Not a short clip sent through WhatsApp.

A live conversation where you see him, hear him and ask questions in real time.

Has he met you?

Has he introduced you to people in his real life?

Can his name, business, address and history be checked?

A genuine relationship slowly moves into real life.

A romance scam remains trapped inside messages, telephone calls, promises and plans that never happen.

I Will Not Let Emotion Replace Verification

Romance scammers want the relationship to move quickly.

They may speak about love within days.

Marriage within weeks.

A future together before you have met.

They create emotional speed because speed prevents questions.

Slow everything down.

Ask the same question again several days later.

Check whether the answer changes.

Write down where he claims to live.

His age.

His birthday.

His profession.

His employer.

The names of family members.

His travel schedule.

The places he claims to have visited.

One contradiction may be a mistake.

A pattern of contradictions is a warning.

I Will Not Believe a Photograph Proves an Identity

A photograph proves very little.

The picture may have been stolen from social media.

It may belong to a military officer, doctor, businessman or ordinary person who has no idea his identity is being used.

It may also have been created or altered using artificial intelligence.

A scammer can now use AI to improve his language, create photographs and build a believable personal story. He may sound educated, emotionally aware and professionally successful.

AI can improve the lie.

It cannot make the person real.

I Will Not Send Money to Someone I Have Never Met

The first request may appear reasonable.

A medical emergency.

A frozen bank account.

A customs payment.

A delayed business transaction.

A plane ticket.

A lawyer’s fee.

An investment opportunity.

A cryptocurrency account that supposedly holds substantial profits.

The story changes.

The need for your money continues.

A successful businessman should not need gift cards from a woman he has never met.

A wealthy investor should not need access to your bank account.

A military officer does not need you to pay for leave.

A genuine partner will not pressure you to borrow money, hide transfers from your family or move funds through your personal account.

Once you send money, the scammer learns two things.

You believe the story.

You may send more.

If you have already sent money, do not let embarrassment push you into another payment. Stop the financial loss and get an independent view of the relationship.

I Will Protect My Identity and Private Life

A romance scam is not always limited to money.

The person may be collecting information.

Your complete name.

Home address.

Employer.

Husband or partner.

Children.

Friends.

Social media accounts.

Travel plans.

Private photographs.

Intimate videos.

Details about your marriage or personal life.

Every personal detail creates another path into your life.

The danger changes when the scammer knows enough to frighten you.

I Will Not Confuse Secrecy With Privacy

Privacy is something you control.

Secrecy is often something the scammer demands.

He may tell you that other people will not understand the relationship.

He may say your friends are jealous.

He may discourage you from discussing him with your family.

He may become angry when you ask someone else for an opinion.

Isolation protects the story.

A friend who is not emotionally involved may notice contradictions you have been explaining away.

A real man does not need to separate you from everyone who cares about you.

I Will Recognize When Romance Becomes Blackmail

Some romance scams change when the woman tries to leave.

The affection disappears.

The threats begin.

The scammer may threaten to contact your husband, family, employer, clients or friends. He may threaten to release photographs, conversations or evidence of the relationship.

If this happens, you are no longer dealing with a disappointing romance.

You are dealing with blackmail.

Do not panic.

Do not send another payment because he promises it will be the last.

Do not reveal everything you know.

Do not immediately block him before understanding what he possesses and who he can contact.

Stall the demand.

Create time.

If you need direct help, visit Blackmail Help for Women. I personally take over cases. I communicate as the woman, stall the demands, protect her identity, use disinformation and work to prevent exposure.

You deal directly with me.

No assistants.

No call centre.

No judgment.
