Do not tell them which person you fear losing.
Do not name your spouse, employer, or family members.
Do not give them more leverage.

Your first job is to stall.
Claim you have no available cash and need three days.
The blackmailer may become aggressive. They may repeat the threat, shorten the deadline, or send screenshots of people they claim they will contact.
Stand your ground.
If they demand a screenshot of your bank account, do not send one. Claim you do not have the banking app on your phone.
Once you pay, they usually demand more.
Payment does not buy silence.
It tells the blackmailer that the threat works.
Stall.

Do not assume they have already reached them.
Do not expose yourself because you fear exposure might happen.
