Are you practicing Privacy Disappear, or have you resigned yourself to believing technology will protect you?
Most people have forgotten Human Privacy.
We got lazy.
Sure, you can search “how to disappear” online. Most of it is bullshit wrapped in good SEO, telling you this is the best plan.
It is not.
We stopped thinking about what we were giving away.
We stopped asking who needed to know.
We stopped creating boundaries.
Stopped saying no.
We made everything easy.
Easy to share.
Easy to connect.
Easy to find.
Easy to remember.
Easy to follow.
And little by little, personal privacy disappeared.
We thought it was a good idea to post our content on social sites.
They got rich, and you got raked over the coals.
Humans Gave Too Much Away
Privacy was never only taken from us.
A lot of it was surrendered.
We told companies where we were.
We told strangers what we were doing.
We connected our work, family, friends, interests, routines, and relationships.
We stopped separating one part of life from another.
Convenience won.
Privacy lost.
That is the human factor.
Human Privacy Means Thinking Again
I call it Privacy Disappear.
Privacy Disappear means deciding what parts of your life should remain visible and making the rest difficult to find.
It is Human Privacy.
You decide what people should know about you.
You decide where the boundary is.
You decide what stays public and what belongs only to you.
Not because you are hiding.
Because everything does not need to be known.
My Disappear Privacy Page explains that approach in more detail.
We Forgot How to Keep Things Separate
There was a time when different parts of life stayed separate naturally.
Work was work.
Home was home.
Friends knew one version of you.
Business contacts knew another.
A stranger did not automatically have a road into your entire life.
Now people connect everything themselves.
That is where privacy starts to collapse.
The answer is not always to disappear completely.
Sometimes the answer is simply to say no.
That is the idea behind Privacy Disappear | Extreme Privacy Built Around Your Life.
Privacy Matters Most When Someone Starts Looking
Most people do not think about privacy until there is a problem.
Someone finds the house.
Someone finds the family.
Someone connects the business identity to the personal one.
Someone from the past suddenly knows too much about the present.
That is when privacy becomes real.
Not a technical issue, but a human one.
I wrote about that in Privacy Is Easy Until They Knock on the Door | Extreme Privacy Help.

Becoming Hard to Find Starts With Behavior
I spent years finding people.
People were often found because they repeated themselves.
Same people.
Same places.
Same habits.
Same mistakes.
That has not changed.
If you want more privacy, you have to think about your own behavior.
Who knows what?
What are my mistakes?
What are you revealing without even noticing?
That is why becoming difficult to locate is about changing you.
No book can fix that, only you can.

Privacy Is a Boundary
Privacy Disappear is not about hiding from the world.
It is coming to your sense and realizing humans are on a cliff.
You cannot walk your dog without the eye in the sky recording.
Privacy is saying no.
Why do they get to everything from you?
That is Human Privacy.
We Can Take Some Privacy Back
Speaking up.
Standing up.
Giving a finger to those who profit from our privacy.
For some Privacy Disappear.
Sometimes that means starting over.
Sometimes it means moving away privately.
Sometimes it means creating a different life online or living more anonymously.
And sometimes it means disappearing much further.
For that, I wrote How to Disappear: A Pocket Guide to Thinking, Planning, and Staying Gone, How to Disappear: AI War Edition, and the How to Disappear Journal.
Privacy Disappear is Human Privacy.
It begins when you stop giving everything away just because it is easier.
